Donald H. Kidd

Donald H. Kidd is a name partner of Perdue & Kidd, L.L.P. in Houston, Texas. He is board certified in Personal Injury Trial law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Mr. Kidd is also a member of the exclusive American Board of Trial Advocates ("ABOTA"). He is rated "AV" by Martindale-Hubble, the highest peer review rating for legal ability and ethical standards. "Texas Monthly Magazine" has named Mr. Kidd a "Super Lawyer" every year since 2004. "H Texas Magazine" has named Mr. Kidd one of Houston’s "Best Lawyers for the People" each year since 2006. Mr. Kidd attended the University of Texas (BBA 1984) and South Texas College of Law (JD 1991, summa cum laude ) where he was an associate editor of the South Texas Law Review. Mr. Kidd began his legal career at Fulbright & Jaworski, L.L.P. in Houston, Texas where he represented defendants in products liability and general negligence cases. In 1996, Mr. Kidd decided to devote his talents to representing those who could not speak for themselves -- personal injury victims. Mr. Kidd was the senior trial lawyer for Jim S. Adler & Associates for over a decade where he represented clients who had been seriously injured and the families of those who had been killed by the negligence of others. The cases arose from a wide array of incidences including, petrochemical plant explosions, transportation accidents, warehouse accidents, material handling, trench collapses, and defective products.

In January, 2008, Mr. Kidd and Jim Perdue, Jr. established Perdue & Kidd, L.L.P., a trial law firm representing personal injury and wrongful death victims and people and companies in commercial disputes. The law firm handles personal injury cases arising from transportation accidents, products liability, premises liability, industrial incidents, petrochemical explosions and fires, construction site incidents, Jones Act, Longshore and Harbor Workers Act, and medical malpractice. In the commercial arena, Perdue & Kidd, L.L.P. represents oil and gas royalty owners, securities fraud victims, and businesses in contract disputes. Mr. Kidd is admitted to practice before U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, Northern District of Texas and Eastern District of Texas, and all courts of the State of Texas.

Mr. Kidd is a member of American Association of Justice, Texas Trial Lawyers Association (Past Vice President Communications, Director, and Sustaining Member), Houston Trial Lawyers Association (President 2008-2009), Houston Bar Association, Houston Bar Foundation (Life Fellow), Texas Bar Foundation (Fellow), the Texas Center for Legal Ethics and Professionalism, and the College of the State Bar of Texas. He is a former State Bar Grievance Committee panel chair. He also is a member of the Texas Board of Legal Specialization Personal Injury Trial Exam Committee.
