Joe N. Perdue was born and raised in Houston, Texas. Mr. Perdue graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science. He went on to earn a Master of Arts from Southwest Texas State University. Upon completion of his Master's Degree, Mr. Perdue returned to Houston and worked at Sam Houston H.S., an inner city school in the Houston Independent School District as an instructor of public speaking. He went on to teach speech at Houston Community College before returning to law school.
Joe Perdue earned his J.D. from South Texas College of Law. While at South Texas he was a Finalist in the Gallagher, Lewis, Downey and Kim Mock Trial Competition. Prior to joining the Perdue Law firm, which subsequently became Perdue and Kidd, LLP, Mr. Perdue defended large corporations, for example TXU Energy and Fluor Corporation, in plant accidents. Mr. Perdue now focuses his practice on representing people that have been wronged or injured and the families of those who have been killed by the negligence of others. Mr. Perdue has represented injured individuals ranging from a woman that suffers from incomplete quadraparesis as result of negligent care during a posterior cervical laminectomy with decompression and fusion with stabilization (by implantation of instrumentation on the cervical spine) to a individual that suffered head trauma after being struck by a car while riding her bicycle training for the MS 150.
Mr. Perdue belongs to the State Bar of Texas, American Bar Association, Texas Trial Lawyers Association, Houston Trial Lawyers Association, and The American Association of Justice. He served on the Texas Trial Lawyers Association Board of Advocates from 2006 - 2007.
In 2010, Joe Perdue was selected by Texas Super Lawyers as a Rising Stars for Personal Injury. Only 2.5 percent of lawyers under the age of 40 are selected for this honor by Texas Monthly Magazine.
